Part-Time Housekeeper – Cottage Cleaning
We are a private cottage owners looking for a reliable, detail-oriented housekeeper to care for our rental cottage on a part-time basis. This is a long-term position with a consistent schedule, ideal for someone who takes pride in their work and values a stable, ongoing relationship.
Schedule
- High season (June–September): Monday and Friday turnover cleanings, regular schedule throughout the season.
- Off-season (October–May): Flexible schedule based on availability and need.
What You'll Be Doing
- Thorough cleaning of all rooms, including bathrooms, kitchen, living areas, and bedrooms
- Changing and making beds
- Washing and laundering all linens and towels
- Vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and surface sanitizing
- Restocking supplies
- Taking photos to record before and after conditions
- Cleaning outdoor amenities (fire pit, BBQ, outdoor furniture, etc.)
- Generally keeping the cottage guest-ready at all times
What We're Looking For
- Reliability: you show up when scheduled and follow through
- A long-term mindset
- Strong attention to detail
- Open, honest communication
- Previous cleaning experience is an asset, though not required
Compensation Starting at $35/hr, with higher pay available based on your skills and experience. We believe in fairly compensating great work.
Location We are located in Tobermory, near Dorcas Bay & Johnson Harbour area. You must have your own transportation.
