Position Summary
The Red Seal Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment at various mine sites across Canada. This role is based out of Sudbury, ON, with frequent travel to remote project locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in underground and surface mining environments
- Troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently to minimize downtime
- Interpret and work from electrical drawings, schematics, and manuals
- Perform preventive maintenance on drilling and support equipment
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with applicable codes, standards, and company procedures
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Work collaboratively with operations, maintenance, and safety teams
- Adhere to all company and site-specific health and safety regulations
- Participate in safety meetings, inspections, and hazard assessments
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid Red Seal Electrician Certification (Industrial or Construction Electrician)
- NORCAT Underground Common Core (UCC) certification (required)
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in mining or heavy industrial environments
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Experience working with drilling equipment (an asset)
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documents
- Valid driver’s license
Work Conditions
- Based in Sudbury, ON with extensive travel to mine sites across Canada
- Work performed in underground and remote mining environments
- Rotational schedules may be required
- Must be physically fit and able to work in demanding conditions

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.75-$51.37 per hour
Expected hours: 44 per week
