Overview
We are seeking a talented baker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, commercial bakery experience, and a strong background in from scratch, retail bakery operations. Excellent customer service skills, and a friendly attitude are a must. This position involves a variety of tasks including assisting with baking, keeping an eye on inventory, and providing top notch service to our customers (both in person and over the phone).
Responsibilities
- Help with daily bakery operations, including production, and inventory management
- Maintain cleanliness and compliance with health and safety regulations in the bakery
- Assist with new recipes and products to meet customer demands
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing customer needs and inquiries promptly and courteously.
Skills
- Friendly and approachable demeanour with strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle customer inquiries effectively
- Experience in the food industry, preferably in a bakery, or restaurant setting
- Knowledge of baking techniques, equipment, and ingredients
- Ability to handle cash transactions
- Proficiency in kitchen operations and food handling practices
Part Time Position:
Hours - 16 to 25 hours per week
2pm to 6pm during the week, 1 pm to 5pm on Saturdays (closed Sundays and Mondays)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
