Geotechnical/Environmental Driller

Location: Brantford/Barrie/Oshawa
Landshark Group is seeking an experienced Geotechnical/Environmental Driller to join our Drilling Division. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled driller to work on a variety of environmental and geotechnical projects across Ontario, with a company known for its multi-divisional infrastructure services expertise.
Responsibilities
- Operate drilling rigs to perform geotechnical and environmental drilling (e.g., soil/rock sampling, monitoring well installation, borehole advancement)
- Set up and break down drilling equipment safely and efficiently on active job sites
- Perform routine equipment inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Follow site-specific health and safety protocols, JHAs, and environmental compliance procedures
- Accurately complete field logs, borehole records, and other required documentation
- Work collaboratively with field technicians, project managers, and clients to ensure project timelines are met
- Travel to various job sites across Ontario as required
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on drilling experience in a geotechnical or environmental context
- Experience with common drilling methods (e.g., mud rotary, air rotary, sonic, auger) is an asset
- Valid DZ license preferred (preference will be given to candidates who hold one)
- Strong understanding of drilling safety practices and site hazard awareness
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physical labour
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Willingness to travel to job sites throughout Ontario
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
