Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe deliveries. They will also be able to help out in warehouse where needed to load and unload trucks and fill orders. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols.
General Purpose
Deliver and unload customer orders, within Alberta, Northern BC, and Northern Saskatchewan.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
- deliver and unload orders at customer locations
- travel out of town Wednesday – Friday (on rotation unless otherwise specified)
- fill out log books/trip reports
- maintenance/Repair reports
- provide notes on existing customers
- deal with customers on a personal level
- address minor queries from customers
- clean and maintain truck(s)
Type of Trucking Equipment
- 3 Ton body job (NO AIR BRAKES)
- 1 Ton Panel Van
Type of Travel
- out of town travel 3 days a week (rotational, 1 Local and some overnight)
- paid expenses (ie hotel/motel, meals (reimbursed), gas/diesel fuel card)
- local deliveries and pickups
- short haul day trips (ie Lac La Biche/Evansburg)
Education and Experience
- valid class 5 drivers license
- high school diploma
- previous driving experience (min. 5 years)
- knowledge of WHMIS, TDG regulations an asset
- knowledge of cellular phones, Electronic Log Book (ELD) and GPS
- good legible writing skills
- knowledge of newer diesel and gas motors an asset
