As a Surveyor working in the Civil and Infrastructure team at Pomerleau Construction, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate layout for our future projects. Working on large-scale civil and infrastructure construction projects - ranging from $1.5 million to upwards of $1 billion, your exceptional eye for detail will enable you to make significant contributions to the successful delivery of our projects.
What you will do
- Preparing tables and files related to surveying.
- Using electronic equipment to determine specific locations.
- Directing, planning, and supervising topographic surveys.
- Recording measurements, managing, analyzing, and displaying data using computer systems and assisted drawings.
- Acting as an expert advisor in surveying and mapping, providing testimony.
- Compiling data and documents, certifying data from executed surveys, and assuming responsibility for it.
- Supervising the preparation of topographic and hydrographic maps, geodetic networks, and photogrammetry work.
- Maintaining and upholding standards for record-keeping and registering minutes.
This role could be for you if you have
- Minimum 3-5+ years of construction surveying experience in civil/infrastructure construction projects;
- The ability to interpret and use information from maps, drawings and measurements taken in the field;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- High level of attention to detail and ability to work independently on multiple survey tasks and assignments';
- Experience with GPS technical support for marine machine control an asset;
- A Post-secondary degree or diploma in Geospatial or Geoscience studies or a technical engineering technician or related discipline is an asset.
