We are looking for a reliable, experienced, and compassionate Cook to join our team and help provide nutritious, high-quality meals for our clients and staff.
Position Summary
The Cook will be responsible for preparing healthy, balanced, and appealing meals for residents in a residential treatment setting. This role requires strong cooking skills, cleanliness, organization, and the ability to support a calm and respectful environment.
The ideal candidate understands the importance of nutrition and can prepare meals that are comforting, healthy, and suitable for different dietary needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, and special meals as required.
- Create and follow weekly menus approved by management.
- Prepare nutritious meals that support recovery, wellness, and overall health.
- Accommodate dietary restrictions, allergies, cultural preferences, and special requests where possible.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen at all times.
- Follow all food safety and hygiene standards.
- Monitor food inventory and inform management when supplies are needed.
- Assist with grocery lists and food ordering.
- Properly store food and manage expiry dates.
- Minimize food waste while maintaining quality.
- Maintain a professional, respectful, and compassionate attitude toward clients and staff.
- Protect client confidentiality at all times.
- Follow all workplace health and safety policies.
- Assist with kitchen cleaning, dishwashing, and general food service duties when needed.
Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
