Overview
We are seeking a friendly and dynamic Cashier and Sales Associate to join our retail team. This role is essential in providing exceptional customer service, managing sales transactions, and promoting our products. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be organized, and have a passion for retail sales and customer engagement. Bilingual abilities and experience in technology sales or product demos are highly valued to enhance the shopping experience for diverse customers.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
- Operate POS systems accurately for cashiering and cash handling
- Process transactions efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service standards
- Upsell products and promote special offers to increase sales opportunities
- Conduct product demonstrations and provide technical information when needed
- Maintain merchandising displays to ensure attractive presentation of products
- Manage inventory levels and restock shelves as necessary
- Handle customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Ensure the checkout area remains organized, clean, and welcoming
- Support team members with various retail tasks to ensure smooth store operations
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and basic math skills required
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities such as Spanish or other languages are a plus
- Experience in technology sales or conducting product demos is advantageous
- Demonstrated organizational skills, time management, and ability to multitask effectively
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills for engaging with customers
- Ability to upsell products confidently while maintaining a positive shopping environment
Pay: $34.00-$36.00 per hour
