Primary Focus
The Maintenance helper’s role is crucial for ensuring that maintenance activities are efficiency supported in an effort to complete maintenance work in a timely and organized manner.
Accountabilities / Direct
- Performs maintenance as directed on plant equipment in a safe manner and ensures equipment and machines are clean and in good working order while following strict GMP guidelines.
- Completion and submission of appropriate paperwork and work orders.
- Maintains a variety of mechanical equipment both corrective and preventative maintenance as directed.
- Keeps maintenance work areas clean and organized at all times.
- Completes the necessary maintenance records and ensures all related information is available.
- Participates in the performance management process to keep work activities focused on company strategic objectives.
- Report all incidents, accidents and near misses by filling out proper reports relating to all employees, contractors, visitors and Company property.
- Works in compliance with the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act and all other relevant governmental legislation
- Complete all other duties as instructed and assigned by Manager.
Required Skills / Experience & Abilities
- A good understanding and knowledge of general maintenance activities including the use of tools and equipment.
- Able to efficiently make decisions and resolve problems
- Must be highly organized and flexible to changing priorities
- Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team.

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
