Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled In‑House Service Technician to join our team. This role focuses on service calls, warranty work, adjustments, repairs, and small-to-medium installations. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, professional with clients, and comfortable working independently in the field while supporting the shop when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete service calls for adjustments, repairs, and warranty work on installed cabinetry
- Perform small-to-medium installs such as replacements, add‑ons, modifications, and minor onsite cabinetry work
- Diagnose issues and provide effective solutions while maintaining high workmanship standards
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, contractors, and site supervisors
- Document service work, parts used, and follow-up requirements
- Load, transport, and unload materials safely using company vehicles
- Maintain tools, equipment, and service inventory
- Support in‑shop tasks when service workload is low (assembly, prep, minor fabrication)
- Follow all safety procedures and uphold Mid Island Cabinets’ quality standards
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience in cabinetry installation, carpentry, or millwork service work
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working independently on job sites
- Ability to lift and move heavy items safely
- Valid driver’s license with clean abstract
- Professional communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work under deadlines and adapt to changing site conditions
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in cabinet service or warranty work
- Familiarity with European-style cabinetry and hardware systems
- Experience with small installs or renovation add-ons
