Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by preparing high-quality dishes and maintaining a clean, organized work environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent kitchen skills, and a commitment to food safety standards. Previous restaurant or food industry experience is preferred but not required, as training will be provided.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to recipes and presentation standards
- Cook menu items efficiently while maintaining quality and consistency
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces
- Follow food safety protocols to ensure proper handling, storage, and preparation of food products
- Support the team during busy service hours by managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ensure all food served meets quality standards and customer expectations
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment
Skills
- Experience in serving, food preparation, and cooking in a restaurant or food service setting is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety standards
- Ability to perform meal preparation efficiently under time constraints
- Excellent understanding of kitchen equipment and techniques used in the food industry
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members
- Attention to detail in food presentation and cleanliness
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency in dish quality
- Prior experience in the food industry or restaurant environment is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
