Used Car Manager
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Used Car Manager to lead our pre-owned vehicle department. The ideal candidate will possess strong sales management skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a proven track record in automotive sales. This role involves overseeing the entire used car operation, developing sales strategies, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Bilingual skills in Spanish are highly preferred to serve our diverse clientele effectively. Duties
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the used car department, including inventory management and pricing strategies.
- Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and departmental sales goals through effective coaching and support.
- Develop and implement innovative marketing plans to attract potential buyers and increase dealership visibility.
- Cultivate relationships with customers through excellent customer service, ensuring a positive buying experience.
- Utilize outside sales techniques and B2B sales approaches to expand the dealership’s network and sales pipeline.
- Conduct negotiations with customers to close deals efficiently while maximizing profitability.
- Upsell additional products or services to enhance customer satisfaction and dealership revenue.
- Maintain organized records of sales activities, customer interactions, and follow-up procedures.
- Support the sales team with training on product knowledge, phone etiquette, and effective communication skills. Qualifications
- Proven experience in automotive sales management or dealership experience, particularly in high-end or retail vehicle sales.
- Strong background in outside sales, negotiation, B2B sales, and upselling techniques.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage a busy sales pipeline effectively.
- Multilingual abilities, especially fluency in Spanish, are highly desirable for serving a diverse customer base.
- Exceptional communication skills—both verbal and written—and professional phone etiquette.
- Demonstrated ability in marketing strategies, customer service excellence, and sales support functions.
- Strong math skills for accurate deal structuring and financial calculations. Pay: $50,000.00-$170,000.00 per year
