Overview
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Retail Cashier to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in providing excellent customer service, managing transactions efficiently, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. Bilingual abilities and experience with technology sales or product demos are a plus, helping to enhance customer engagement and sales opportunities.
Duties
- Operate POS systems accurately to process sales transactions, returns, and exchanges
- Handle cash, credit, and other payment methods with precision and security
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers warmly and assisting with inquiries
- Upsell products and suggest additional items to maximize sales opportunities
- Conduct product demonstrations when applicable to educate customers about features and benefits
- Maintain merchandising standards by organizing shelves and displays according to company guidelines
- Manage phone etiquette when answering customer questions or providing support over the phone
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and well-stocked throughout the shift
- Assist in inventory management and stock replenishment as needed
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth store operations
Skills
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are highly desirable
- Experience with retail sales, cashiering, and POS systems
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
