Stingray Architects Inc. is a Toronto-based architecture firm with a focus on long-term care, commercial, cultural, and community-based projects, including places of worship and shopping centres. We are also involved in master planning and rezoning processes for multiple developments.

We are seeking a Project Architect to join our team. This role is suited to an individual who is self-motivated and comfortable in taking a leadership role in working across complex and fast-paced projects.
This role requires taking ownership of the project delivery, bridging senior leadership and the studio team while working across a range of project types.
· Lead projects through all phases, from concept design to commissioning
· Key participant in the design and delivery of long-term care, places of worship and community-based buildings
· Lead and support retail, shopping centre, and commercial retrofit projects
· Participate in planning and rezoning processes for residential developments
· Coordinate consultant teams and manage projects from inception to completion.
· Prepare and oversee production of construction documents
· Provide day-to-day direction and mentorship to junior team members as part of project delivery
· Liaise and manage communication with clients, contractors, AHU and all stakeholders.
· Identify project risks and provide practical, timely solutions
· Minimum 5 years of membership with the Ontario Association of Architects
· Minimum 10 years of professional experience in architectural practice
· Demonstrated experience and leadership in relevant project delivery.
· Strong coordination and communication skills
· Experience with renovations, retrofit, or adaptive reuse projects
· Strong knowledge of the Ontario Building Code and municipal approvals processes

This role is best suited to candidates who are comfortable leading projects and making decisions, rather than working solely in a supporting capacity. The ideal candidate demonstrates initiative and is capable of growing into increasing levels of project responsibility.
· Experience in healthcare or long-term care projects
· Experience with retail, commercial, or shopping centre projects
· Strong experience in planning, re-zoning and development approvals processes
· Experience with community, cultural, or institutional buildings (e.g. places of worship)
· Solid Contract Administration experience
Stingray is a small, collaborative practice where team members are given a high degree of responsibility and direct exposure to projects. The successful candidate will take a leadership role in project delivery, working closely with both senior architects and the studio team.
· Salary Range: $90,000 to $115,000 commensurate with experience
· Performance-based bonus
