Journeyperson/Apprentice Ironworkers
To work at our Blackfalds Modular Yard in the Blackfalds area
SALARY: Up to $48.50 per hour
OVERTIME: After 40 hours in a week
TRAVEL: Local Position – No travel
START DATE: ASAP
SCHEDULE: 4 days on, 3 days off
HOURS PER DAY: 10 hours per day
PAY SCHEDULE: Weekly Pay (Friday)
SHIFT: Dayshift
ACCOMODATIONS: Local Position
DURATION: Ongoing
WORK SCOPE: Modular Yard
Working Conditions:
Full-time, Temporary

Work will be primarily outdoors in various weather conditions
Requirements:
- A valid Journeyperson or Apprentice Certification from a recognized provincial training authority.
- CSTS 2020 Certification
- WHMIS2015
- ESC Elevated Work Platform
- ESC Fall Protection
- Must have demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision
- Previous industrial construction experience is an asset
Responsibilities:
- Fabricates structural steel, ornamental work and pre-cast structures on a variety of projects.
- Studies blueprints, drawing and specifications to determine the lay out of work.
- Position steel units, align holes and insert temporary bolts while checking alignments and joining steel parts using simple torque and hand wrenches.
- Attach cables from a crane and direct crane operators with hand signals and/ or radio.
- Unload and stack steel units so each piece can be hoisted as needed
- Know, understand, and operate grinders safely in accordance with safe work practices and procedures
- Ability to recognize spool hoisting point and utilize proper rigging techniques and signals while working in a fast-paced environment
- May perform other duties as assigned
- Complete all required safety documentation
- Working at heights and outdoors
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $29.10-$48.50 per hour
