Job description:
Job Title: Senior Estimator
Company: Humo Restorations Inc.
Location: Woodbridge, Vaughan area
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
About Us
Humo Restorations Inc. is a fully bonded and insured restoration and construction company with over 9 years of industry experience and more than 150 successfully completed projects across Ontario. We are growing — and we are looking for a Senior Estimator to grow with us.
The Opportunity
This is more than an estimating role. We are looking for an experienced professional who can bring new project opportunities through their network, prepare competitive bids, and become a long-term partner in the company's continued success. The right candidate will have the chance to take ownership of their work, share in the company's growth, and build a meaningful long-term future with us.
What You'll Do
- Identify and pursue new project opportunities through your professional network and industry contacts
- Prepare detailed, accurate, and competitive cost estimates for restoration and construction projects
- Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents; perform quantity take-offs
- Solicit and analyze quotes from suppliers and subcontractors
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, property managers, consultants, and engineers
- Lead the bid submission process, including proposal writing and negotiations
- Represent Humo Restorations professionally at site meetings and industry events
- Collaborate with the project management team for smooth handoff from estimating to execution
What We're Looking For
- An established and wide-ranging professional network in construction, restoration, engineering, or property management — this is essential
- 7+ years of experience in estimating, project management, or engineering. Engineers with a background at large construction, consulting, or development firms are strongly encouraged to apply
- Knowledge of restoration, building envelope, concrete repair, or general construction practices
- Proven track record of bringing in and securing projects
- Proficient with estimating software, Microsoft Excel, and digital take-off tools
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
- Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
- Self-motivated, professional, and results-driven
- Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is an asset
- Valid Ontario driver's licence
What We Offer
- Company shares / equity ownership — become a true stakeholder in the business and benefit directly as the company grows. This is your opportunity to build something that's truly yours.
- Performance-based incentives tied directly to projects you bring in and successfully deliver
- Competitive base compensation commensurate with experience
- Long-term career growth with an established Ontario contractor (9+ years, 150+ completed projects)
- Supportive leadership team and skilled field crews backing your work
- Professional, respectful, and collaborative work culture
