Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Vendor Audit Specialist to support and enhance a large-scale vendor audit program while helping drive AI-enabled audit and process improvement initiatives. This role combines expertise in vendor audits, contract compliance, financial analysis, and stakeholder management to identify cost recoveries, improve controls, and modernize audit processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct vendor audits to validate contract compliance, invoice accuracy, and billing practices
- Review contracts, purchase orders, invoices, rate schedules, and supporting documentation to identify discrepancies, overbillings, and recovery opportunities
- Perform financial analysis and audit testing to assess adherence to commercial terms
- Support audit planning, reporting, recovery tracking, and corrective actions
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, Operations, IT, and external vendors
- Contribute to AI-driven vendor audit initiatives, including workflow testing, process automation, and audit analytics improvements
Qualifications
- University degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, Commerce, Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in vendor audit, contract compliance, procurement, supply chain, finance, internal audit, or commercial management
- Strong knowledge of commercial contracts, invoice validation, audit methodologies, and financial controls
- Experience identifying billing discrepancies, financial recoveries, and process improvement opportunities
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with SAP, Power BI, Excel, or enterprise financial systems preferred
- Experience with digital transformation, automation, or AI-enabled business processes is considered a strong asset
- Preferred CertificationsCPA, CIA, CISA, PMP, SCMP, or other relevant professional certifications are considered assets.
