Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various destinations while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and excellent customer service.
Duties
- Operate and drive heavy or tractor-trailer trucks to transport goods and materials over long distances.
- Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transit.
- Ensure cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transport.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding transportation and safety.
- Assist in loading and unloading cargo as required.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a truck driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
