Duties
- Greet guests warmly and take accurate food and beverage orders using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Micros POS.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, tables, and service stations in compliance with food safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest needs promptly, answering questions about menu items, and offering personalized recommendations.
- Manage multiple tables or bar stations efficiently through effective time management skills.
- Follow all food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene are maintained at all times.
Skills
- Proven experience in restaurant or food industry settings, with a strong background in food service or bartending roles.
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms for order processing and cash handling.
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
- Strong time management skills to handle busy periods smoothly while maintaining quality service.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques.
- Basic math skills for cash transactions, making change accurately, and managing tabs efficiently.
- Experience with serving alcohol responsibly, including understanding legal requirements related to alcohol service.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team within a hospitality environment that values friendliness, professionalism, and attentiveness.
