About Calgary Seniors

Our culture is built on action, warmth, and innovation. We step up when there is a need, challenge the status quo when better solutions are possible, and prioritize relationships because connection is at the heart of well-being.
About the Role
Calgary Seniors is seeking an experienced In Place and Outreach Team Lead to provide day-to-day leadership for our In Place and Outreach programs.
The Team Lead ensures both programs deliver clear, coordinated, trauma-informed, strengths-based, and person-centered support while maintaining the distinct purpose of each service. In Place provides short-term social prescribing and transitional support following health-related events or life changes, while Outreach provides medium- to long-term community-based case management for older adults with ongoing, non-urgent needs.
Reporting to the Co-Executive Directors and working closely with the Director of Programs, the Team Lead provides supervision, case consultation, operational coordination, quality oversight, and performance management while supporting program evaluation, partnership development, and continuous improvement.
This is a working leadership role that combines supervision with direct service, intake support, and case coordination when operational needs require.

- Review referrals, coordinate intake, manage waitlists, balance caseloads, and oversee client flow.
- Support staff with complex client situations, risk assessment, ethical decision-making, advocacy, systems navigation, and service planning.
- Conduct documentation reviews and case note audits to support quality practice.
- Ensure client service is trauma-informed, strengths-based, culturally responsive, accessible, and grounded in consent and client choice.
- Monitor referral trends, waitlists, client outcomes, and program data to support reporting and continuous improvement.
- Build strong relationships with health-care providers, community agencies, and referral partners.
- Represent Calgary Seniors at community meetings and collaborative initiatives.
- Support implementation and ongoing improvement of program manuals, workflows, and service standards.
- Provide direct service, intake support, or case coverage when operational needs require.
