Your Opportunity:
This Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist II position is responsible for leading, organizing and directing the day-to-day operations of MRI and Nuclear Medicine to ensure that the service provided is effective, efficient and of the highest standards. This position will also participate in providing direct patient care as well as sharing, in any shift, weekend, or on-call responsibilities that may be expected, and as required. The position works closely with peers and other groups within the organization. Specific to MRI, this position acts as the Safety Officer responsible for ensuring that procedures are in effect and enforced to ensure safety in the MR environment.
Description:
As a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist II, you will be a working supervisor responsible for the day-to- day operation of Magnetic Resonance Imaging services and provide technical assistance for staff. You will also organize and coordinate overall patient flow, including coordinating exam mix and weekly room schedules.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of diploma from an accredited MRI Technologist Program recognized by the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic & Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT) or completion of certification from an accredited MRI Technologist Program plus a diploma from an accredited Program in Medical Radiology, Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ultrasound), Nuclear Medicine or Radiation Therapy. Active or eligible for registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:
IV Certification. PICC line access.
Preferred Qualifications:
Leadership Courses. A minimum of three years work experience in Diagnostic Imaging. Previous supervisory/management experience desired. Good organizational, interpersonal, leadership and effective communication skills. A demonstrated interest in professional growth. Ability to demonstrate tact and courtesy in dealing with patients, staff and physicians. Practices effective radiation protection and/or magnetic field safety techniques if applicable.
