Overview
Dalton Events is a premium event rental company based in Ottawa, offering thoughtfully curated pieces for weddings, corporate events, and private celebrations. From tables, chairs, linens, and tableware to styled décor and photo booth experiences, we help bring elevated, design-forward events to life.
As a growing company in its early stages, we’re looking for a detail-oriented, creative, and highly motivated individual to join our team. This role will work directly with the owner and play a hands-on part in shaping the client experience, supporting sales, and contributing to day-to-day operations.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with clients, has a strong eye for design, and is excited to be part of building a business from the ground up.
Client Experience & Showroom Support
- Independently manage the showroom during set hours (appointments + walk-ins)
- Meet with clients to understand their event needs and recommend rental options
- Confidently present products, pricing, and rental processes
- Create a welcoming, polished, and on-brand showroom experience
- Respond to client inquiries via email and phone in a timely manner
- Prepare and send quotes, and support clients through the booking process
- Proactively communicate with clients regarding upcoming deliveries to ensure a smooth and organized experience
- Conduct post-event follow-ups to gather feedback and support ongoing client relationships
Sales & Business Development
- Support outreach to event planners, venues, and industry vendors
- Assist in building relationships within the local event community
- Help identify and follow up on potential leads
- Contribute ideas to grow bookings and overall revenue
Content & Creative Support
- Assist with social media content (stories, posts, reels)
- Capture behind-the-scenes content in the showroom and warehouse
- Help style table setups for photos, displays, and marketing
- Maintain a clean, cohesive visual brand across all content
Event Support
- Assist as a photo booth attendant at events across Ottawa
- Set up, operate, and manage the photo booth during events while ensuring a seamless and engaging guest experience
- Represent the Dalton Events brand on-site with a professional and friendly presence
Operations
- Support warehouse tasks when required, including:
- Dishwashing
- Laundry and linen folding
- Inventory organization
- General cleaning and upkeep
Who You Are
- A self-starter with a can-do attitude
- Friendly, confident, and comfortable working with clients
- Detail-oriented with an eye for design, styling, and aesthetics
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks at once
- Confident using social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, with an understanding of content creation and brand consistency
- Interested in entrepreneurship or small business growth
- Willing to jump in wherever needed—from sales to setup
Experience
- 2–3 years of experience in customer service, sales, or a client-facing role
Bonus (but not required)
- Bilingual (English/French)
- Experience in basic social media/content creation
- Experience in weddings, design, or other events
Availability
Availability to work some evenings and weekends as required, based on showroom hours and event schedules

Pay: $24.04-$31.25 per hour
