WE ARE RECRUITING FOR EDUCATION PROGRAM COORDINATORS!
Make a meaningful difference by:
- Contributing to learning materials for community programs and offering resources for specific demographic groups using a recovery-orientated and strength-based approach
- Adapting learning outcomes, program plans, language used, resources, and program materials, to be culturally relevant and accessible for specific demographic groups
- Creating or adapting curricula, practical content, and facilitation manuals for community, educational, and online programs
- Exploring and facilitating training on virtual facilitation tools and approaches that are engaging, reflective of current best practices and pedagogical approaches
- Facilitating certificate-based programs, including Canadian Red Cross first-aid, psychological first-aid, and babysitting courses
- Using relatable platforms (i.e. social media), as a platform for relationship-building, knowledge translation, telling stories, and promoting access to our supports
You may also assist with:
- Coordinating advisory groups, administrative duties (i.e. logistical communication for programs), evaluation processes, report creation, as well as presenting at public forums and conferences
We're recruiting full-time interns and employees (35 hours/week), at an hourly wage of $17.75–$30.00/hours.

What are we looking for?
1) FACILITATION AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS
- Previous experience with program planning, small group facilitation, or facilitating virtually
- Knowledge of participant-driven pedagogical approaches, which are learner-centred and promote power-sharing
- Strong writing and oral skills, especially in relation to active listening and conveying complex thoughts in a way that is relatable
- Ability to nurture and grow relationships, as well as offer peer support
2) PROJECT MANAGEMENT SKILLS
- Experience coordinating and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and individuals, internally and externally to teams
- Ability to track progress, create communication systems, and inspire motivation under time sensitive deadlines
3) COMMUNITY EXPERIENCE
- Ability to understand and assess the needs of diverse community groups, clients, and learners
- Strong understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Previous experience working with vulnerable populations
4) EDUCATION
- Educational background in teaching, public health, adult education, fitness, and social work, or equivalent relevant life experiences
- Certification in Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP), Psychological First Aid, Mental Health First Aid, First Aid & CPR, ASSIST or facilitation training are assets
- Lived experience of mental health and/or addictions
