Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscaper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor landscapes, ensuring the health and aesthetic appeal of various properties. This role involves working outdoors in diverse weather conditions and requires a strong understanding of horticulture, landscape maintenance, and construction techniques. The Landscaper will contribute to creating beautiful, functional outdoor spaces that meet client expectations.
Duties
- Perform landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, pruning, and planting to keep outdoor areas attractive and healthy
- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators for grading, digging, and site preparation
- Install irrigation systems ensuring proper coverage and functionality
- Use hand tools and power tools for planting, edging, and other landscaping tasks
- Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and tools to ensure safety and efficiency
- Assist with construction projects such as retaining walls, pathways, or garden beds
- Apply horticultural principles to promote plant health and growth
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and environmental regulations
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and to client specifications
Qualifications
- Prior experience with landscaping, gardening, or horticulture is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to operating and maintaining landscape equipment and tools
- Familiarity with irrigation systems installation and repair is a plus
- Ability to operate heavy machinery such as excavators effectively and safely
- Strong knowledge of landscape maintenance practices and construction techniques
- Experience working with hand tools (shovels, pruners) and power tools (trimmers, blowers)
- Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions for extended periods
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to construction, landscaping, and equipment operation
- Valid driver’s license is preferred for transporting equipment or materials on-site
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.93-$23.00 per hour
