Job Summary
Minimax Express is seeking a skilled and experienced 310T Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy equipment maintenance. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent mechanical knowledge, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to ensure optimal equipment performance and safety. This position is Tues-Fri 8pm to 630am (10 hour shifts 4 days a week).
Responsibilities
- Diagnosis and Repair - use diagnostic tools and techniques to identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems in vehicles and trailers.
- Maintenance - perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, brake inspections and tune-ups.
- Safety Compliance - ensure all work carried out in compliance with safety regulations and laws.
- Replace and repair defective parts, components and systems on vehicles and trailers
- Record Keeping - Maintain accurate records of repairs, services and inspections.
- Minimize down time of trucks while keeping costs down by being proactive inspecting equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Perform inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on all types of trucks and trailers
- Troubleshoot issues related to brakes, electrical, suspension, and structural components
- Complete preventative maintenance and safety inspections in accordance with regulations
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards
- Skilled in welding and fabrication techniques.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems including engine diagnostics, electrical wiring, hydraulics, and assembly processes.
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Fluent in English (read, write and speak), knowledge of French an asset
- Licensed 310T Truck and Coach Technician
- Technical Skills - Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills are critical
- Mechanical Aptitude - understanding of mechanical and electrical systems is necessary
- Physical Stamina - requires one to be able to lift (up to 50 pounds), bend and work in various positions
- Must have own tools
- Communication - must be able to explain vehicle issues and repairs to others
- Customer- oriented, ability to work with drivers to ensure that they have safe and reliable transportation equipment.
Pay: Up to $40.31 per hour
