Overview
We are seeking a skilled Licensed Mechanic to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive mechanical knowledge, and proficiency with various tools and repair techniques. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. The ability to interpret schematics is essential for success in this position. The Licensed Mechanic will play a vital role in delivering high-quality automotive repairs while adhering to safety standards and industry best practices.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive vehicle diagnostics using mechanical knowledge and schematics to identify issues accurately
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on a variety of vehicles, including engine work, transmission repairs, brake systems, and electrical components
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to complete repairs efficiently
- Follow manufacturer guidelines and industry standards to ensure quality workmanship
- Assist with vehicle inspections, safety checks, and routine maintenance services
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and parts used for each vehicle
- Adhere to safety protocols during all repair activities, including heavy lifting and working with potentially hazardous materials
Requirements
- Valid license as a professional Mechanic (310S)
- Proven experience in automotive repair, maintenance, or related mechanical fields
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics reading
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems and components
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently as required by repair tasks
- Experience with assembly processes and troubleshooting complex mechanical issues
- The ability to explain technical information clearly
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to automotive repair environments
- Prior experience working with automotive electronics and electrical systems is a plus
Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour
