The Town of Aurora is currently looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our Recreation team in the Fall of 2026!
Position Summary
Preschool Instructor - Hourly Range: $21.17 - $24.04
Reporting to the Community Programs Coordinator, you will be responsible for the design and delivery of various pre-school programs including program development, creative program delivery and ensuring a safe program environment. You will respond to inquiries from the general public, parents, program participants and staff regarding program content, prerequisite abilities, registration procedures, child needs, special requirements, program materials and other related matters. The incumbent will also research and make recommendations on the acquisition of materials, supplies and equipment as required.
Program Leader - Hourly Range: $18.45 - $19.31
Under the guidance of a full time Program Coordinator, the Program Leader will be responsible for supervising various registered and drop-in programs for participants of all ages and abilities (preschool to older adult).
Skate Patrol - Hourly Range: $18.45 - $19.31
Reporting to the Youth and Community Development Coordinator and/or Youth Programmer, the Skate Patrol Staff will be responsible for on-ice supervision of various skating and shinny programs to ensure a safe program environment.
Sports Recreation Instructor – Dance - Hourly Range: $21.17 - $24.04
Reporting to the Youth and Community Development Coordinator and/or Youth and Community Programmer, the Sports Recreation Instructor will be responsible for delivering sport and recreation programs with a focus on Dance program delivery to participants of all ages and abilities. This role involves overseeing the instruction, safety, and supervision of participants in the Town’s drop-in and registered programs. The instructor will deliver age-appropriate programming, incorporating sport-specific skill development and progressions, with a focus on physical literacy and fundamental movement skills.
