Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Part Time Controller to oversee the financial operations of our organization. This pivotal role involves managing accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. As a Part Time Controller, you will play a vital role in guiding budgeting processes, account reconciliation, and financial analysis to help drive strategic decisions.
Duties
- Manage and oversee all accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other platforms to record, track, and report financial data accurately.
- Conduct regular account reconciliations to ensure the integrity of financial statements and identify discrepancies promptly.
- Perform detailed account analysis to monitor financial performance and support budgeting efforts.
- Prepare financial reports, statements, and summaries for management review on a consistent basis.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Support audit processes by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial transactions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices with a focus on accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and account reconciliation.
- Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial analysis techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently in a part-time capacity while managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Prior experience in a controller or senior accounting role is required
