Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Bookkeeper with experience in full-cycle bookkeeping, payroll processing, and financial reporting to join our team in Bowmanville, ON.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience with general ledger management, account reconciliation, journal entries, and tax preparation, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Perform full-cycle bookkeeping, including maintaining accurate financial records
- Manage general ledger accounts, including posting journal entries
- Prepare financial statements, trial balances, and financial reports
- Perform account reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Calculate fixed assets and depreciation
Payroll & Compliance
- Process payroll administration, including calculating and preparing payroll cheques
- Support payroll adjustments and corrections
- Prepare and file tax returns and support tax compliance requirements
- Assist with annual tax filings and regulatory reporting
Month-End / Year-End & Reporting
- Support month-end close and year-end close processes
- Assist with audit support and financial reviews
- Generate ad hoc financial and management reports
- Ensure all reporting deadlines are met accurately and on time
Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
- Bookkeeping Certificate or Accounting Diploma
- Experience with QuickBooks (or similar accounting software)
- QuickBooks Certification (asset)
- PCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) designation (asset)
- Previous experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
