Overview
We are seeking a dependable and skilled Tow Truck Operator to join our team. This role involves operating tow trucks to assist with vehicle recoveries, roadside assistance, and transportation. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, excellent customer service skills, and experience with commercial driving. Responsibilities
- Operate tow trucks safely and efficiently to recover, transport, and deliver vehicles.
- Assist customers with roadside assistance needs in a professional and courteous manner.
- Conduct routine inspections of tow trucks and related equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues and perform basic repairs or maintenance as needed.
- Use forklifts or other equipment when necessary for loading or unloading vehicles or materials.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all services performed, including vehicle details and service reports.
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws during operations to ensure personal and public safety.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members regarding job status and any issues encountered.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license
- Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle repair and maintenance.
- Prior experience operating tow trucks or similar vehicles preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle stressful situations professionally.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in various weather conditions.
- Good communication skills and attention to detail.
- Must pass a background check and able to get a city of regina tow badge to work with the police.
Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
