Job Summary
Empathic Moon 777 is seeking two dynamic, personable Event Vendors / Sales Representatives (Casual) with reliable vehicles to represent our spiritual apothecary at Pow Wows, markets, and community events. You will work as a two-person team to pick up product in Kenora, travel to event grounds, set up an eye-catching booth, engage customers, and drive sales through warm, confident communication.This role is hands-on and outdoors. It’s ideal for someone who enjoys community events, is comfortable speaking about spiritual and metaphysical products (ritual candles, oils, sprays, crystals, and spiritual tools), and can be trusted to handle inventory and payments responsibly. Training is provided.How the Team Role Works
- You will be scheduled as a two-person vendor team for event days
- You must communicate clearly, share tasks, and work respectfully together in a busy public setting
- Reliability is essential because events depend on both team members showing up on time
- At least one team member must be able to drive to each event and transport product and supplies
Duties and Responsibilities
- Represent Empathic Moon 777 at Pow Wows, markets, and promotional events to increase brand awareness and sales
- Engage event attendees with friendly, confident customer service and strong product knowledge
- Promote and explain spiritual and metaphysical products (ritual candles, oils, sprays, crystals, and related tools)
- Answer basic customer questions respectfully and help customers choose the right items
- Pick up product and event supplies in Kenora before each event and return product and supplies after the event
- Drive to event grounds across Treaty #3 and surrounding areas and arrive on time for set-up
- Set up and tear down the vendor booth (tables, displays, signage, inventory)
- Handle sales using cash and mobile payments and maintain accurate money handling
- Keep the booth organized, clean, and stocked throughout the day
- Share basic sales notes and customer feedback after the event
- Collaborate with your teammate to plan event logistics and ensure smooth execution on event days
Requirements (Must-Have)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- Available to work weekends (event schedule varies)
- Able to lift and carry supplies up to about 40 to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
- Comfortable handling money and mobile payments
- Comfortable learning and speaking about spiritual and metaphysical products and answering customer questions respectfully
- Strong communication skills and a professional, friendly presence with the public
- Able to work well as part of a two-person team and also work independently when needed
- Punctual, dependable, and trustworthy with product and cash handling
Preferred Experience and Assets
- Vendor, market, or event sales experience
- Customer service experience with confidence approaching and speaking to new people
- Familiarity with Pow Wow environments and community protocols
- Experience working in Indigenous community settings
- We welcome and encourage applications from Indigenous (First Nations, Métis, Inuit) candidates
- Interest or background in spiritual wellness, metaphysical shops, tarot, energy work, or apothecary-style products
- Experience tracking sales using simple tools (notes, spreadsheets, POS reports); CRM experience is a bonus but not required
Compensation
- $18.00 per hour
- Mileage paid at $0.50 per km
- Meals covered on event days
- Training provided
