Position Summary
We are looking for an organized and dependable Stores Coordinator to support the daily operation of our Stores and inventory function.
The Stores Coordinator is responsible for organizing, issuing and replenishing materials required for production. This role contributes to inventory accuracy, material availability and the efficient flow of work throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities
· Release, print and distribute shop floor work packages.
· Process requisitions and pick tickets.
· Pick, issue and distribute materials according to production requirements.
· Maintain accurate records using a computerized inventory system.
· Monitor and control shelf-life items.
· Monitor Kanban inventory levels and initiate replenishment as required.
· Distribute supplies for internal use.
· Perform cycle counts and participate in the annual inventory count.
· Work with Purchasing to identify opportunities for Kanban replenishment.
· Maintain inventory accuracy and appropriate inventory controls.
· Maintain a clean, organized and efficient Stores area in accordance with 5S practices.
· Follow applicable health, safety, quality and regulatory requirements.
· Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· One to two years of experience in warehousing, inventory control, stores or a related position.
· Knowledge of warehousing, inventory control, packaging and basic purchasing practices.
· Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
· Experience using a computerized inventory system is an asset.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
· Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.
· Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
· Strong attention to detail.
· Ability to prioritize and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
· Ability to work independently with limited supervision and as part of a team.
· Flexible, adaptable and willing to take on new challenges.
· Ability to obtain a satisfactory police records check.
· Physical and Working Requirements
· Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
· Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, push and pull throughout the workday.
· Ability to use ladders when stocking shelves.
· Ability to use material-handling equipment to transport items throughout the facility.
· May occasionally be required to work outdoors.
· May be exposed to materials classified as dangerous goods.
· Transportation of Dangerous Goods training will be provided as required.
Hourly rate: $19
