The Events and Communications Administrator enhances the internal and external profile of the Career Bridge Centre through strategic communication, event planning, and partner engagement. The position drives communications initiatives to support students, staff, alumni, employers, and community partners. This role involves creating, implementing, and managing comprehensive communication and event strategies, overseeing all Career Bridge events, including the Bi-annual Career Fair; grant applications and budget administration, and collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders to promote the success and visibility of the Career Bridge Centre and the University of Lethbridge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute all Career Bridge events, with a specific focus on the Bi-annual Career Fair by utilizing software and systems to ensure precise event management, aligning with organizational goals and optimizing the success of career development initiatives for all partners across both campuses.
- Strategically lead the development, creation, and dissemination of Career Bridge communications and promotional materials to all stakeholders, employing a targeted approach to ensure effective messaging and outreach.
- Coordinate administrative duties, including promoting Career Bridge programs, addressing partner inquiries, overseeing the Career Bridge email accounts and job postings, facilitating appointment bookings for students and alumni, and organizing staff participation in recruitment initiatives.
- Analyze costs and revenues, book vendors, and coordinate the purchase of supplies via the Career Trust budget’s SOP. Enhance Career Bridge offerings via procurement of equipment, materials, and supplies.
- Conducting research and reporting on event and promotion outcomes and ROI.
- Managing the Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) grant application on behalf of the University of Lethbridge, securing wage subsidies and work opportunities in support of institutional WIL and Career outcomes.
- Assist in the coordination of overlapping departmental timelines for events and marketing for all Career Bridge units, employing an organized approach that involves strategic coordination with the overarching goal of enhancing efficiency, aligning with the strategic plan, and identifying potential process improvements for implementation in the short and long term.
