Civil Construction Project Coordinator
The Civil Construction Project Coordinator supports the planning, execution, and delivery of heavy civil projects such as roadworks, earthworks, underground utilities, bridges, and municipal infrastructure. They ensure smooth coordination between field crews, subcontractors, engineers, and clients while maintaining documentation, safety compliance, and schedule accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Documentation — Manage drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, permits, inspection reports, and change orders specific to civil works.
- Field Coordination — Support superintendents with daily site logistics, traffic control coordination, utility locates, and environmental compliance.
- Scheduling & Progress Tracking — Update schedules for earthworks, pipe installation, concrete pours, paving, and structural milestones.
- Survey & Layout Support — Coordinate with survey crews, track staking requests, and ensure updated as‑built information is captured.
- Procurement & Materials Tracking — Order aggregates, pipe, geotextiles, concrete, asphalt, and specialty civil materials; track deliveries and quantities.
- Cost & Quantity Monitoring — Assist with daily quantity tracking (cut/fill, pipe lengths, concrete volumes), invoice verification, and cost reporting.
- Regulatory & Safety Compliance — Maintain safety documentation, environmental logs, erosion control records, and support compliance with municipal and provincial standards.
- Stakeholder Communication — Liaise with engineers, inspectors, utility companies, subcontractors, and municipal representatives.
- Reporting — Prepare daily/weekly progress reports, site photos, production metrics, and risk updates.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Civil Construction Knowledge — Understanding of earthworks, utilities, roadbuilding, concrete structures, and related processes.
- Reading Civil Drawings — Ability to interpret plans, profiles, cross‑sections, and civil specifications.
- Organizational Skills — Strong document control and multi‑tasking abilities.
- Technical Proficiency — Experience with MS Office, Bluebeam, AutoCAD/ Civil 3D (asset), and project management platforms.
- Communication Skills — Clear, professional communication with field and office teams.
- Problem‑Solving — Ability to anticipate field issues and support timely resolutions.
- Team Collaboration — Works effectively with superintendents, engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in civil or heavy construction
- Familiarity with municipal standards, environmental regulations, and permitting
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to active job sites

Pay: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
