Business Development Applications Sales Engineer (full time)

As a Food Applications Sales Engineer, you will maintain and grow Linde’s Food Merchant Sales—Linde’s largest sector—through the effective application of Linde’s Food Technology portfolio; which includes customized freezer designs manufactured by Linde Canada, Linde U.S. freezer designs (Wooster OH), the International Freezer Pool (Europe), as well as additional non-freezing applications such as mixers, strippers, and modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) systems.
You will drive innovation by implementing new global Linde technologies and developments in the Canadian food industry, specifically across Ontario and Quebec. As the market and technologies continue to evolve, the role will adapt to incorporate new tools, equipment, and customer demands.

- In this role you will establish and grow relationships with potential customers, industry consultants, and vendors to expand market presence

You will manage sales activities and identify customer needs to tailor effective solutions

Moreover you will develop and present application concepts and business cases customized for customers

You will lead and coordinate campaigns and technical projects, including trials, demonstrations, and technology rollouts

Prepare and execute experimental plans, trial contracts, reports, and technical documentation to support project success

Collaborate with global and local teams as well as external partners to ensure seamless project delivery and innovation

Provide expert advice and after-sales support, including training and further development on application equipment

Participate in international conferences and professional events to contribute to innovation and gain market insights

Maintain accurate records and reports in customer relationship management systems to support business objectives

Leverage internal business resources across sales, research and development, business development, and customer service to achieve goals and deliver value
What makes you great*
- You hold a university degree in Food Engineering or a related field, preferably with a specialization in process engineering and bring over five years of experience in technical sales within the food industry, demonstrating a proven track record of customer acquisition, growth, and resilience

Demonstrate hands-on expertise in testing and commissioning food equipment such as cryogenic freezers and mixers and possess a strong knowledge of industrial gases applications in food freezing and chilling processes, combined with technical and engineering savvyness

You exhibit well-developed commercial skills, advanced problem-solving abilities, and a digital mindset open to emerging technologies including artificial intelligence tools

You are able to communicate fluently in English and French, with excellent interpersonal skills to build trust and influence stakeholders at all levels

You are willing to travel extensively within Canada and internationally, adapting to change and maintaining focus on outcomes in dynamic environments
