Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Tower Rigger to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and dismantling of telecommunications and electrical towers. This role requires working at heights, operating specialized equipment, and adhering to strict safety protocols. Responsibilities
- Safely assemble, install, and dismantle tower structures using appropriate rigging techniques
- Conduct inspections of towers and related infrastructure to identify potential issues or hazards
- Assist with the installation and maintenance of low voltage systems, WAN networks, telephony systems, and network infrastructure
- Use electrical experience to troubleshoot and resolve electrical components within tower systems
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols during work at heights or in confined spaces
- Coordinate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and project completion
Skills
- Proven experience with telecommunication infrastructure, including WAN, telephony, and network systems
- Ability to operate forklifts, bucket trucks, and other heavy machinery safely and effectively
- Knowledge of low voltage electrical systems and wiring techniques
- Strong understanding of tower rigging procedures and safety standards
- Experience working at heights with appropriate fall protection equipment
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and safety instructions
- Excellent communication skills for teamwork and coordination on complex projects
- Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks in outdoor environments under various weather conditions
