We are currently seeking a CPA Strata Accountant with proven condominium/strata accounting experience to join our team. This role works closely with property managers, strata councils, and owners to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with strata regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for strata corporations
- Manage strata banking, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Prepare strata budgets, variance analysis, and coordinate reserve fund studies
- Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and owner assessments
- Ensure compliance with the Strata Property Act and related regulations
- Liaise with strata councils, property managers, and auditors
- Provide exceptional client service to multiple strata clients
- Handle special assessments, contingency funds, and complex strata transactions
Requirements
- Must have a minimum of 2+ years of strata/condominium accounting experience (required)
- CPA designation or CPA-eligible with significant progress toward designation
- Strong understanding of the British Columbia Strata Property Act
- Experience with strata-specific accounting software (e.g., Yardi)
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Strong communication and client service skills
- Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines effectively
