Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in JBoss (EAPWildFly) upgrades on RHEL 9, Java migration, and SSO integration to support application modernization and platform upgrades. The role requires close collaboration with application, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure secure, stable, and compliant solutions across environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and execute JBoss (EAPWildFly) upgrades on RHEL 9 across nonproduction and production environments. Perform Java version migrations (Java 8 to Java 21), including impact analysis, dependency updates, and remediation. Configure and support JBoss for authentication and authorization. Implement and support Single Sign On (SSO) using LDAP, OIDC, or enterprise Web Access Management (WAM) solutions, based on feasibility. Troubleshoot SSO related issues including connectivity, binding, role mapping, and performance. Configure and tune JBoss for performance, security, and high availability. Support application deployments and post migration validation and stabilization. Implement and maintain CICD pipelines for Java JBoss applications. Work with security teams to ensure compliance with enterprise authentication and access standards. Define rollback strategies and prepare operational and runbook documentation.
Required Skills:
Experience Strong hands-on experience with JBoss upgrades. Proven experience working on RHEL 9 (installation, configuration, hardening, and troubleshooting). Solid experience with Java migrations and JDK upgrades. Hands-on experience with SSO implementation using LDAP, OIDC, andor WAM solutions. Good understanding of Linux system administration. Experience with CICD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar).Proficiency in shell scripting for automation. Knowledge of SSL, certificates, keystores, and security configuration in JBoss. Experience supporting applications in enterprise.
