FUEL TRUCK DRIVER
A Fuel Truck Driver is responsible for the safe transportation and delivery of fuel products to customers, facilities, equipment, or storage locations. This role requires operating specialized fuel tanker vehicles, following transportation regulations, conducting vehicle inspections, and maintaining accurate delivery records while ensuring the highest standards of safety and environmental compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate fuel tanker trucks to transport and deliver fuel products.
- Load and unload fuel in accordance with company procedures and safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Verify delivery quantities and obtain customer signatures when required.
- Monitor vehicle systems and report maintenance issues promptly.
- Follow all applicable transportation, hazardous materials, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, fuel records, mileage reports, and inspection documentation.
- Respond appropriately to spills, leaks, or emergency situations according to established procedures.
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Provide professional customer service during deliveries.
- Adhere to company policies regarding safety, security, and operational procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid class 1 or 3 with airbrakes. Clean driver's abstract. Must be able to lift 50lbs or over. Be able to overtime if needed. Work well unsupervised. Knowledge of fuel products and mechanical ability would be an asset.
