Reporting to the Senior Manager, Network Engineering, IP Interconnections, the Senior IP & Security Architect is recognized in his/her field and acts as an organizational reference. Refers to complex and sometimes ambiguous expectations. He/she influences the organization's strategy through his/her actions and decision-makingn. He/she submits and presents recommendations relating to the development and implementation of projects with conceptual complexity.
- Orchestrate the design of solutions, deployment and integrity of architectures, networks, systems and platforms, and drive interdepartmental synergies.
- Act as an organizational and technological reference for the various multi-sector teams.
- Act as a technical lead within the team in assessing potential impacts on network integrity and services related to the standardization and introduction of a new product, platform, technology.
- Contribute to and influence the technological and financial planning of networks, systems and platforms (roadmap, evolution strategies, growth and obsolescence, integrity and budget cycle) by formulating recommendations related to deployment requirements.
- Produce complex analyses and technological recommendations linked to the technology deployment business plan.
- Analyze the interactions of architectures and networks to minimize the risks associated with technological changes.
- Participate in the growth, obsolescence and integrity processes in a matrix manner with the responsible teams within the wireline engineering network Department.
- Act as a technical lead in the implementation and monitoring of processes and tools related to the deployment and integrity of networks, systems and platforms.
- Take charge of large-scale projects.
- Act as an expert/specialist to operations and engineering in solving complex technical problems, in identifying and proactively resolving technological issues and in influencing the organization's strategies by proposing innovative solutions to guide decision-making. Provide level 3 support for all services that use the interconnection networks.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent training;
- Master's degree in engineering or related field is an asset;
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in the telecommunications field
- Expert and specialist who proactively identifies and resolves technological issues to influence the organization's strategies;
- Extensive knowledge of cable and wireless network services and technologies. Expertise in IP networks (CCNP or equivalent required / CCIE an asset);
- Able to deal with ambiguity and make relevant and sound decisions.
- Network automation skills are an asset;
- Initiative and autonomy;
- Analytical and synthetic mind (technical and financial) to deal with ambiguity and make relevant and informed decisions;
- OIQ or any other Engineering board member an asset;
- Office presence in hybrid mode;
- Be available to work regularly outside of working hours for Level 3 support;
