Role Overview
Full-time, field-based sales role focused on growing business within the commercial construction sector. You’ll work directly with contractors, developers, and project teams to sell technical building systems and manage relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
Must-Haves:
- 3+ years of sales and/or construction industry experience
- Experience working on Canadian commercial construction projects
- Strong understanding of mechanical/electrical systems or technical building products
- Proven ability to prospect, generate leads, and close deals
- Comfortable working with general contractors, developers, and site teams
- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a personal vehicle
- Able to work independently in a field-based role with daily travel
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with automatic doors, access control, or low-voltage systems
- Exposure to electrical, carpentry, or jobsite coordination
- Industry certifications (e.g., AAADM)
Responsibilities
- Prospect and develop new business opportunities
- Build relationships with contractors, developers, and project stakeholders
- Conduct jobsite visits to understand scope and timelines
- Prepare and present quotes and proposals
- Manage the full sales cycle (lead → close)
- Coordinate with internal project and technical teams
- Maintain pipeline tracking and activity reporting

Best suited for a self-sufficient, field-driven sales professional who understands construction environments and is comfortable working directly on jobsites.
This is not an entry-level or inside sales role. Candidates must have relevant construction or technical sales experience.
Compensation & Benefits
- $72,000 – $85,000 base salary
- Commission structure
- $600/month vehicle allowance
- Full benefits (medical, dental, vision + HSA)
