About us
Backed by the 30-year legacy of the Global IELTS Group, U+ Education, headquartered in Canada, empowers international students and newcomer families by bridging language learning, academic advancement, and university pathways through structured guidance and long-term, practical support.
The Role
We are expanding our presence in the Richmond Hill and North York communities and are looking for seasoned educators who believe that debate and diplomacy are more than just extracurriculars—they are essential life skills.
We are not looking for someone to simply follow a script. We are looking for a Program Lead to build a premier curriculum from the ground up, and Instructors who are genuinely invested in the intellectual growth of their students. If you have a background in competitive forensics and a passion for mentoring high-achieving youth, we would like to meet you.
Core Responsibilities
Program Lead (Leadership & Development)
· Curriculum Design: Take ownership of our debate and MUN pathways (Middle to High School), ensuring they meet the standards of WSDC, BP, and major North American MUN circuits.
· Team Mentorship: Hire and support a team of coaches, fostering a culture of academic rigour and continuous improvement.
· Tournament Strategy: Manage our competition calendar, from local GTA invitationals to international breaks, ensuring our students are prepared and registered.
· Parent Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to families, explaining how Forensics supports long-term academic and personal success.
Instructors (Teaching & Coaching)
· Classroom Delivery: Lead engaging, inquiry-based sessions on geopolitics, ethics, and logic.
· Actionable Feedback: Provide the kind of specific, technical critique that helps a student move from a "good" speaker to a "winning" debater.
· Student Support: Create a classroom environment where students feel safe to take intellectual risks.
Who You Are
· Experienced: You have a deep history in the debate or MUN world—perhaps as a former university competitor, an adjudicator, or a dedicated coach. You know what it takes to win a round and, more importantly, what it takes to learn from one.
· Academically Grounded: You hold a degree in Law, Political Science, International Relations, or Education. You understand the nuances of the topics you teach.
· Reliable & Grounded: You are comfortable in a growing environment. You prefer the freedom to shape a program over the rigidity of a corporate franchise.
· Industry Connected: You have the networks and resources to help our students access the best tournaments and opportunities in the circuit.
What We Offer
· Real Influence: As a Lead, you have a seat at the table. Your ideas on curriculum and strategy will be implemented, not shelved.
· Exceptional Students: You will teach motivated, bright students from the GTA’s top schools who are eager to be challenged.
· Transparent Partnership: We offer competitive pay that respects your specialized expertise and a straightforward, professional working environment.
· Growth: We are expanding. For those who stay with us, there are clear opportunities for senior leadership and regional management.
