Role Overview
We’re looking for a personable and detail-oriented Sales Assistant to support our sales team and enhance the customer experience within our showhomes and communities.
In this role, you’ll be a key point of contact for prospective homeowners — ensuring a welcoming environment, supporting the sales process, and helping guide customers through their home buying journey.
Hours & Schedule
- This is a part-time to full-time role ranging from 28 to 40 hours per week
- Team members typically work 5 days per week
- Showhome hours are typically as follows:
Monday – Thursday: 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Friday – Sunday: 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
1. Customer Experience Excellence
- Deliver a welcoming, professional, and engaging experience for all visitors and homeowners
- Understand customer needs, preferences, and budgets
- Provide clear and accurate information on homes, pricing, options, and timelines
- Respond promptly to inquiries and address concerns with care and professionalism
- Actively seek and incorporate customer feedback to continuously improve the experience
2. Showhome Presentation & Maintenance
- Ensure showhomes and sales centres are clean, organized, and inviting at all times
- Assemble and maintain sales packages and marketing materials
- Update colour boards and ensure displays reflect current offerings
3. Customer Journey Support
- Assist with homeowner walkthroughs and ensure homes reflect selected options
- Stay up to date on pricing, specifications, and product changes
- Identify and address deficiencies or issues proactively
- Support a safe environment by following Avalon’s safety program and ensuring visitors do the same
4. Sales Administration & Coordination
- Prepare offers to purchase and support documentation processes
- Conduct basic market research to support the sales team
- Provide updates to customers throughout construction and during possession
- Maintain consistent communication and engagement throughout the home buying journey
5. Events & Team Collaboration
- Assist in planning and executing sales and community events
- Attend Avalon corporate events as a representative of the brand
- Contribute to a positive, customer-centric culture within the sales team
What You Bring
- Previous experience in customer service, sales support, or a related role
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a natural ability to build rapport
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Comfort working with CRM systems and general administrative tools, experience with HubSpot is considered an asset.
