Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Night Time Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals during evening hours, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation. The Night Time Cook will work closely with kitchen staff to maintain efficient operations and uphold food industry standards.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to menu specifications and recipes
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Serve dishes promptly and maintain presentation quality
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment, utensils, and work surfaces
- Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring supplies and notifying management of shortages
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations during food preparation and service
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during night shifts
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling techniques
- Experience working in a restaurant or food industry setting is a plus
- Strong understanding of meal preparation and kitchen operations
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment during evening hours
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds
- Flexibility to work night shifts as required by the schedule
