About the Role
We’re looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Part-Time Sales Associate who can work Saturdays and Sundays (with occasional additional weekday shifts as needed). This role requires someone confident working independently, who can manage the store on their own, and enjoys engaging with customers in a boutique retail environment. Management is remote.
ResponsibilitieS
- Deliver outstanding customer service: greet every customer warmly, assist with styling, suggest product pairings, and build sales.
- Operate POS software (Shopify or similar), debit/credit terminals, and handle transactions accurately.
- Manage the store independently: open/close procedures, maintain cleanliness, restock, and keep displays organized.
- Achieve sales goals by using strong product knowledge and upselling techniques.
- Handle special orders, returns, and exchanges in line with store policies.
- Maintain security awareness and follow all procedures to safeguard inventory.
- Communicate effectively with management (store owner) about daily activity, sales trends, and customer needs.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years retail experience (fashion retail preferred).
- Comfortable working alone in a boutique setting with minimal supervision.
- Proven sales ability and customer-first attitude.
- Strong communication skills and confidence assisting customers with styling.
- Tech-savvy enough to run POS systems, debit/credit machines, and online order processing.
- Independant, resourceful, ability to problem solve on your own.
- Highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented.
- Available to work Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays consistently.
Additional Details
- Position runs until the end of December 2025. After that, hours may reduce to weekends only or the role may pause until spring (seasonal cycle).
- Must be comfortable with the demands of a small business: flexibility, independence, and willingness to take initiative
