Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Food Production Worker to join our manufacturing team in a fast-paced food processing environment. This role involves supporting the entire production process, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and contributing to efficient manufacturing operations. Ideal candidates will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for quality food production.
Responsibilities
- Operate packaging equipment to prepare products for distribution
- Assist with food processing tasks, including ingredient handling and product assembly
- Maintain sanitation standards throughout the production area to ensure food safety compliance
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance on equipment
- Operate forklifts safely for material handling and inventory movement
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures during daily operations
- Conduct basic math calculations for measurements, portioning, and quality checks
- Support inventory management by accurately recording production data and product counts
- Assist in cleaning and sanitation of work areas, tools, and equipment to meet health standards
Experience
- Previous experience in the food industry or manufacturing environment is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food processing techniques and sanitation practices is a plus
- Familiarity with packaging machinery and forklift operation is advantageous
- Basic mechanical knowledge helpful for troubleshooting equipment issues
- Ability to perform basic math accurately in a production setting
- Understanding of food safety standards and procedures is beneficial
