We are seeking an experienced, trauma-informed Registered Practical Nurse to support clients receiving ketamine-assisted treatment. As part of an interdisciplinary team, you will play a central role in administering ketamine, monitoring physiological and psychological safety, and supporting clients through the medical aspects of their treatment journey.
FUNCTIONAL/TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Acts as the main point of contact when clients enter the clinic, ensures a welcoming environment while treating all clients with dignity and respect.
- Manages the clinic’s schedule including appointment reminders.
- Ensures all client’s information is accurately entered into the EMR, updates information as required while following PHIPA regulations.
- Collects and processes client’s payments, issues receipts and invoices, and clearly communicates funding models.
- Acts as a resource for clients regarding questions about KAP treatments.
- Handles sensitive or urgent matters with empathy, escalating them to the appropriate healthcare provider if/as required.
- Administers medicine to clients per company guidelines and protocols.
- Charts all treatments in the EMR per regulatory college requirements and Field Trip Health policies.
- Maintains a clean, orderly, and professional treatment room that is well stocked in preparation for treatment.
- Maintains a strong collaborative working relationship with colleagues and in-clinic staff.
- Reads and interprets technical medical instructions as related to client care.
COMPETINCIES:
MEDICAL ADMINISTRATION + SAFETY
Competent in the safe administration of weight-dosed medications. Skilled in continuous physiological monitoring, able to identify adverse reactions, destabilization, or atypical responses. Is well trained with emergency medications and protocols in case of an adverse event.
TEAMWORK + COLLABORATION
Works seamlessly with Nurse Practitioners, Medical Doctors, and therapists to ensure continuity of care. Communicates clearly about client responses, safety concerns, and session observations. Understand their role in supporting the therapeutic model.
DOCUMENTATION + CLINICAL ACCURACY
Produces clear, timely, and clinically relevant documentation of dosing, vitals, observations, and incidents.
Pay: $30.00-$36.00 per hour
