Job description:
Zippy and lippy‘s lightning delivery is seeking a reliable and professional cube van Courier Driver to join our team. We are located just outside of Guelph in Puslinch and do deliveries all over southern Ontario,. We have a fleet of 8 vehicles ranging from mini van to a 5 Ton; This role would primarily be driving our cube van vehicle. This position involves timely and safe transportation of skids and packages to various destinations, along your assigned run daily. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, cube van or commercial driving Experience. Being Familiar with the Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge and Guelph are would be a benefit as these are your main delivery routes. Work hours range from 30-40 hours a week. ONLY A G LICENCE IS REQUIRED.
Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport skids and packages across designated routes
- Load and unload items
- Ensure accurate delivery of goods, verifying recipient information and obtaining signatures when required
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the vehicle at all times
- Communicate effectively with dispatch
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safe driving practices
- Hours of work are Monday to friday with start time of 8-9 am to 4-5 pm
Experience
- Prior experience in cube van operation, commercial driving, or logistics preferred
- Knowledge of moving procedures and forklift operation is a plus
- Strong customer service skills to handle inquiries or concerns professionally
- Excellent communication skills for clear interaction with team members and clients
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required
- Must have access to Maps app, Be comfortable with text and call communication throughout the day, and be able to follow a daily run sheet for deliveries,
