Position Overview
Join our dedicated team at the Victorian Order of Nurses (VON) as a Transportation Program Volunteer. This fulfilling role allows you to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and adults with disabilities in your community. By providing transportation services, you will promote independence and offer essential social interaction for those in need.
Key Responsibilities
· Transport clients to appointments and social activities promptly and with a friendly demeanor.
· Ensure the safety and comfort of clients during transit.
· Offer a warm presence and engage in brief, uplifting conversations with clients.
Requirements
· A valid driver’s license.
· Access to a reliable vehicle and proof of insurance.
· Completion of a police vulnerable sector check.
· 90-minute training session required to review VON policy and practices
