Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Shipper/Receiver to join our warehouse team. This role involves managing the receipt, storage, and shipment of goods, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, and maintaining efficient warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with warehouse management systems and equipment such as forklifts and reach trucks. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment supporting e-commerce and distribution activities.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload shipments using forklifts, reach trucks, or other warehouse equipment
- Receive incoming goods, verify quantities against purchase orders, and inspect for damages
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling products accurately
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS), MRP, and AS400 to track inventory movements
- Maintain accurate records of all shipments and receipts
- Ensure proper packaging to prevent damage during transit
- Assist with order picking and fulfillment processes for e-commerce orders
- Organize inventory within the warehouse for easy access and efficient storage
- Conduct basic math calculations to verify quantities and weights
- Follow safety protocols during all loading, unloading, and storage activities
Qualifications
- Previous experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or related roles preferred
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), MRP, and AS400 is a plus
- Experience operating forklifts and reach trucks required; certification preferred
- Knowledge of order picking, order fulfillment, and packaging procedures
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for inventory counts and measurements
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety standards
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads and perform manual tasks as needed
- Warehouse experience in e-commerce or distribution centers is desirable
